- The first Knives Out was a revelation, a movie that was written, directed and produced so well, it reminded everyone of how good a whodunnit crime mystery can be.
Distributed by Lionsgate, the first film opened to $26.8 million, not a record-breaker but very good. Critics' reviews were sensational and the audience reception was excellent (an A- CinemaScore).
